As I coach, I serve as a catalyst to help you move from where you are now, to where you want to go—whether that involves navigating new directions in midlife and beyond, creating new changes and connections, hurdling the dips and curves of midlife, and/or discovering and activating new ways to enhance your well being—despite these challenging times!
People who work with me are ready to move forward to make positive change. I don’t delve deeply into “past problems” or discuss issues that would be better handled by a therapist or consultant.
Clients include people from all walks of life at midlife & beyond. I work with people seeking to rediscover strengths, redefine purpose, and take steps that lead to a new and improved sense of what I call the Three S’s—Significance, Satisfaction, and Support at midlife & beyond.
Clients often develop and take bold steps with life or work initiatives (I love the word “livelihood” rather than work). Coaching is also a great tool to make valuable small changes: to cut back and clear things up in life, to celebrate accomplishments, to brainstorm solutions, to explore and map out new life or work strategies, to reexamine values, and rehearse life skills. These steps and changes result in increased life satisfaction, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of well being and purpose–with greater sense of control and calm.
You’ll start with an initial consultation to ensure a “fit” and to discuss your overall goals and the coaching relationship. We will then schedule a series of coaching sessions to meet your needs conducted either in-person or by telephone. Additional coaching opportunities for my clients include brief emails and phone calls between sessions if needed.
Individual sessions $125 per 55 minute session
Series of 3 sessions $350
Typical length of coaching is 6-12 sessions
Using a structured, yet creative process, I help you to focus in on changes you want to make or goals and breakthroughs you seek. I ask questions that require more than a quick, “off-the-top-of-the-head” answer. I listen, make observations, offer insight, and collaborate on possibilities. We’ll discuss options, strategies, and perhaps tactics to overcome obstacles. You’ll develop your own specific action plan by the end of each session. Most clients are surprised by how much is accomplished in each session.
Ideas that are discussed can yield valuable results between sessions. I will guide you to:
First, expectations and goals for Coaching must be clear for all involved. This allows me to be an effective “Field Guide” to help you to reach your goals and to coach you in the best way possible. Enter into Coaching with the understanding that you are responsible for creating your own decisions and results. Then dive into collaborating and reflecting on ideas and activating the changes you seek! The Coaching relationship is in no way to be construed as psychological counseling or any type of psychotherapy.
Confidentiality is essential. This means that everything you say is totally confidential and not shared with anyone else—unless you choose to share it. I will advise you if there is ever any circumstance that might influence my judgment or objectivity.
